2018 Microclimate Control Core (MCC)

Project Overview

Using a thermoelectric cooling chip as the core of a heat pump, driven directly by DC power from solar panels to avoid energy losses from AC/DC conversion. Daytime power generation is converted into heat-pump output, with heating and cooling stored separately; indoor temperature and humidity sensors control the timing of hot and cold water flow, effectively regulating indoor temperature while reducing the environmental impact of air-conditioning compressors.
